The F. Diaz – J. Bazan Scholarship under the Chicana/o Scholarship fund is offered with the intent to foster the recruitment and retention of students from undocumented Dreamer populations. The scholarship supports qualified undergraduate Hispanic Dreamer students (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) that are enrolled at the University of Utah working towards a degree. In the event that there are no Dreamer students, this scholarship will also be available to Hispanic/ Latina/o students that have financial need and/ or are 1st generation students. The scholarship funds for 2019-2020 will be divided into two equal amounts Fall and Spring semester. Recipients must be registered as a full-time student (12 credits) each semester to receive the award. Supporting documentation is required.
Applications for the F. Diaz – J. Bazan Scholarship need to be submitted by February 1, 2019.
